Suderow|Actually there are two small books within this volume. The second is one of the best memoirs I've read, Reminiscences of the Sixties by Charles Crosland. Crosland joined the Hampton Legion in 1864 and was present when the infantry regiment was given horses so they could serve as mounted infantry. From the Inside Flap|A volume combining first reprints of the wartime reflections by two cavalry officers from Abbeville and Bennettsville respectively
